Irenic Thoughts

Irenic. The word means peaceful. This web log (or blog) exists to create an ongoing, and hopefully peaceful, series of comments on the life of King of Peace Episcopal Church. This is not a closed community. You are highly encouraged to comment on any post or to send your own posts.

Daudi Back in Tanzania

Daudi Ndahana and Frank
Daudi Ndahana, who visited with us at Easter, sent word back from Tanzania where he has arrived safe after a year of studies at Nashotah House seminary in Wisconsin. He thanks us for his prayers and asks to pass along his warm greetings to the congregation of King of Peace. He has made it as far as Kasulu in Western Tanzania and sent the photo above of himself and his son Frank, who he saw for the first time on his return home. The photo below is with Olivia (at center, in the green and black dress) and other family and friends. He will now travel to Kibondo to see that house that his wife Olivia purchased in his absence with assistance from King of Peace church members.

We hope to have Daudi, Olivia, and Frank with us at King of Peace again before the year is out. The current plan is for them to visit on Christmas break from his second of two years in seminary.
