Baby Steps
Our daughter congregation will take an important step tonight. At 6:15 p.m. the Episcopal Church of Our Savior at Honey Creek will hold its first regular Wednesday worship service followed by a Bible study on the Gospel of Mark.
Regular weekly worship on Sunday won't start until November 4, but this is an important step, one of several to be taken in these months leading up to the start of regular Sunday worship. Please pray for the new congregation as it takes this step. Pray also for the founding pastor, the Rev. Linda McCloud, as she guides the new congregation toward standing on its own.
King of Peace will hold a pool party at Honey Creek this Saturday at the Honey Creek pool which is next to the chapel, so you can see their wonderful worship space (pictured here) for yourself. You may also visit the new church online at www.oursaviorhoneycreek.org where you will also find directions to visiting the church in person, whether tonight or in the future.
peace,

They took that first step without faltering. News of that first regular mid-week worship service with 28 people is online at Linda's blog Sunrise on the Marsh.

Thanks for sending people our way. We did in fact have one person from King of Peace in attendance, and that person was bubbling with joy. Our Savior at Honey Creek sends greetings to our Mother Church.
