Irenic Thoughts

Irenic. The word means peaceful. This web log (or blog) exists to create an ongoing, and hopefully peaceful, series of comments on the life of King of Peace Episcopal Church. This is not a closed community. You are highly encouraged to comment on any post or to send your own posts.

More Photos from Daudi

Daudi and Olivia's House

Daudi Ndahana has been able to send a few more recent photos from Tanzania. St. Hilary's Church, Kibondo, TanzaniaAbove is a picture of Daudi preaching at St. Hilary's Church in Kibondo with a portion of the large congregation visible. I worked as an intern at this church when it was in a smaller building on the same grounds. The church pictured above and at left was only a slab foundation when I was there in the summer of 1998.

Jonathan and FelistaThe picture at right is of his son, Jonathan, and daughter, Felista and below they are pictured with their mama, Olivia. In addition to the baby, Frank, pictured before, he also has a daughter, Prisca, not pictured here.

The photos below are two additional views of the house Daudi's wife Olivia was able to purchase in Kibondo town, not too far down the hill from the church above. Daudi send his love and asks for prayers for getting the passports and visas needed for Olivia and Frank to join Daudi this fall as he has his second and final year of studies at Nashotah House Seminary where he is studying for a Masters in Theology. You may click on any of these photos to see a larger version of it.
