185th Annual Meeting of the Diocese of Georgia

Below are some photos that give a glimpse into the just completed 185th annual meeting of the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia which met this week in Valdosta, Georgia.

An view of the large meeting that lasted through the day on Friday with about 300 participants. We passed the budget for the diocese, approved a few resolutions (after much discussion and some ammendment) and heard of some exciting ministries taking place around the Diocese.

The closing Eucharist included four ordinations.


Bishops Keyser, Michel and Louttit. Bishop Michel is the new assisting Bishop who will be working with our Diocesean Bishop, Henry Louttit.


The new transitional deacons, Wallace Marsh, Ben Rockwell, Kit Brinson and Frazier Green. They will be eligible for ordiation to the priesthood as soon as six months from today.


Lou and Linda Scales bid farewell to Bishop Keyser who finished up a time as an assisting Bishop in the Diocese of Georgia.
