The Art of Living in Biblical Times
This Saturday evening at 5 p.m., Dr. Oded Borowski will give a presentation at King of Peace on The Art of Living in Biblical Times. While many scholars have dug into archeological sites to let us know more about the history of ancient Israel, this Emory University professor of Middle Eastern Studies has explored more fully the daily lives of everyday ancient Israel than other researchers. His insights into the lives of the people and the land in which they lived will help enrich your own understanding of scripture.
Dr. Borowski's talk will focus on life in biblical times and will share information from his archeological digs in Israel as well as his other research from his extensive teaching and writing career. His presentation will be illustrated with a PowerPoint presentation to take us to the places he describes and show us the results of his archeological field work.
For this special presentation, the Woodbine Woman's Club is partnering with King of Peace, and the City of Woodbine. The group will begin to gather at 4:30 with a talk promptly at 5 p.m. Refreshments will follow provided by the Woodbine Women's Club.
This program is supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly as administered by Golden Isles Arts and Humanities Association, the GCA designated Grassroots Agency. The Council is a partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
I'm getting the plug in for this on Thursday so that you have time to make plans to be on hand for this interesting evening at King of Peace.
peace,

Is this related to the Art of Living Foundation?

Not that I am aware of. It's related to his teaching on the Ancient Near East at Emory University.
